Babies can suffer from pain and irritability for many reasons. The tricky part is, unless there has been a bump or other event, it is hard to define because babies express pain in different ways. Parents know their children best, but sometimes the line between your baby being tired, hungry, unwell, and cranky or in pain can be pretty blurry.
In this article we aim to give you a few tips to ease the guesswork and assist your babies doing what they do best.
A few weeks into newly acquired parenthood and most parents have developed a pretty good feel for their baby’s feeding and sleep levels. The gold standard is that if your baby is gaining healthy weight, is sleeping to a regular timetable, and is alert during wake times then chances are you have the feeding and sleep covered.

How can Chiropractic help?
First of all we need to establish whether your baby’s discomfort is associated with a spinal/joint/muscle problem or something that requires other professional investigation. This is achieved as a result of a thorough history and examination of your baby. Once this is established then we can discuss treatment options and home advice.
Chiropractic care can help in relieving your baby’s pain and correcting poor movement patterns. Chiropractors are well trained to provide gentle and precise movement techniques that are suitable for the age of your child’s spinal joints and muscles. Babies and children typically will respond very quickly to chiropractic adjustments – fast relief for them and their parents!
